Yes, I have read that. I loved the part 1 ending immensely, the events after the battle and the realization that the "other" side is not always evil, just different.

Shiva trilogy was good. Anand Neelkantan's books were above average reads too. Like Asura : tale of the vanquished and Ajaya I and II. They provide a different perspective and made for an interesting read.

You van try Thunder God Ascendance of Indra by Rajiv G menon, you can try Shiva Trilogy by Amish also as it is also pre vedic in its setting and times.
